Political first: Hashemi calls for the non-aligned countries for the revitalization of diplomatic relations with Iraq

Movement of the Vice-President Tareq al-Hashemi, more than at the level of support and to enhance the mobilization of international support for Iraq during its participation in the work of the Non-Aligned Movement at its fifteenth session, which began its work yesterday in the Red Sea resort of Sharm el-Sheikh in Egypt.
Hashimi has held a number of meetings with a number of central leaders and princes against the backdrop of the summit, and discussed many issues that affect the consolidation of views and attitudes towards the support of the Government of National Unity in Iraq, and efforts to promote the award of infrastructure reconstruction in it.
The summit will end today with a number of decisions in the final document, the address to emphasize the fact that global peace and security is still far from the reach of human and non-fulfillment of the commitments and obligations incurred by the Non-Aligned States under relevant international conventions, as well as the failure of most developed countries in honor their commitment to economic and social spheres.

Hashemi also called on the international community and non-aligned countries and forcing Israel to respect international legitimacy and implementation of many of the relevant United Nations resolutions adopted by the movement, and to continue supporting the Palestinian people and to stand with him until the restoration of their legitimate rights, and expressed his regret for the persistence of Israel in its dealings with the international community with contempt and arrogance, and refusal of opportunity real opportunities to reach a just and comprehensive peace in the Middle East.
He called on the Vice-President of Non-Aligned States to reactivate diplomatic relations with Iraq, by sending in their official delegations and the People's business community for the truth and see the current situation in order to strengthen diplomatic and economic ties, cultural and social links between Iraq and the movement.

For his part, al-Hashemi told Vadthanin his country's desire to revive diplomatic relations in the near future.
It is hoped that the final document to be issued today by the summit, stressed that peace and security in the world still out of reach because of the human tendency of some States to resort to unilateral actions and failure to meet the commitments and obligations incurred by States under relevant international conventions, treaties and conventions, particularly related to weapons of mass destruction and conventional conflict, terrorism, and violations of human rights and international humanitarian law, and a double standards in international relations, as well as the failure of most developed countries in meeting their commitments in the economic and social spheres.
